About MC

In my writing I hope to convey a sense of the spirit or “soul” of each character. I’m interested in how their narratives are central to important issues: equality, non-violence, and mindfulness or spirituality.

Over the years I have known people who related to everyone with respect and faced life’s challenges with courage and compassion. I want to bear witness to their lives. And because I knew them, I believe this kind of balanced life is possible. My novels and memoirs reflect my experiences and those of friends with the desire to reveal a glimpse of the essence of my life, their lives, to bring out the complex strains, and to illustrate resilience and love.

Poetry is essential to my life. I love music, photography, sports, the outdoors, reading: exploring the inner and outer worlds. Having a good laugh is very healthy.

  2. Hi Mary-

Would you be interested in participating in the writing process blog hop that seems to be “sweeping the blogosphere”?
My apologies if you’ve already done so and I missed your post.
If not, all you have to do is answer 4 questions about your writing process on your blog and then ask 2 or 3 other writers to do the same a week later.
I’m signed up for July 21. You would be July 28.
Here are a couple of writers’ approaches:

No problem if you haven’t the time or inclination. But if you do I’ll send you the details.
    Warm Regards,
    Carol
